The Los Angeles City Council approved the 30-year $4.9 billion contract with LAX Integrated Express Solutions to design, build, finance, operate, and maintain a new 2.25 mile automated people mover at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Once constructed, this new people mover will provide travelers with connections to terminals and other facilities at LAX.
SHA Analytics, LLC served as part of Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) financial advisory team during the Public-Private Partnership (P3) procurement process. SHA Analytics, LLC led the quantitative risk assessment during the procurement phase. Our approach to quantitative risk assessment provided LAWA with information on the project's risk exposure, evaluation of the impacts of mitigation strategies on risk exposure, and evaluation of the allocation of risks between LAWA and the private developer under the P3 agreement. SHA Analytics, LLC will continue to work with LAWA to update the risk assessment routinely during the design and construction of the project to help LAWA forecast and manage contingency budgets.
