Los Angeles Word Airports (LAWA), Landside Access Modernization Program at LAX, Los Angeles, CA.
As part of the Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP) at LAX, LAWA is building a 2.5-mile Automated People Mover (APM), a Consolidated Rent-A-Car Center (ConRAC), and inter-modal transportation facilities and is making improvements to the central terminal areas and providing Metro rail and bus connections to ease access into and out of LAX. As a key member of the risk and financial team advising on this $5.5 billion program, SHA Analytics LLC is working on the cost risk analysis and management efforts to develop risk registers of program elements and to quantify risk reserves needed to complete this program.

California Department of Transportation District 7, Risk Analysis and Management of I-5 North, Los Angeles, CA.
SHA Analytics LLC is providing risk analysis and management services to Caltrans District 7 through its Project Development and Design Services for Northern Los Angeles and Ventura Counties On-call. As part of this contract, SHA Analytics LLC conducts ongoing risk analysis and management support services for four segments of I-5 North under-construction (between SR-134 to SR-118).

Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro), Accelerated Regional Transportation Initiative (ARTI) Project, Los Angeles, CA. As a member of the HDR|InfraConsult consultants team, Dr. Amiri led the risk analysis  to develop project's risk register and conduct capital and O&M cost, and schedule risk analysis to estimate risk-based cost and schedule under different delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build and Public-Private-Partnership). She developed capital cost, operation, and maintenance expenditure schedules for the Project to be used in value for money analysis and business case for a Public-Private-Partnership delivery California Transportation Commission application. She wrote several chapters and appendices for the business case and coordinated and reviewed sections produced by a multidisciplinary team of engineering (HDR), financial (KPMG) and legal (Nossaman) consultants.

California Department of Transportation District 7, Cost and Schedule Risk Analysis for I-5 HOV Lanes and Pavement Rehabilitation Project, I-5 Truck Lanes Project and I-5 Empire Segment, Los Angeles, CA.
As a member of HDR consultants team, Dr. Amiri developed an Excel-based cost and schedule risk assessment model to assess project risks and estimate risk-based cost and schedule under different construction sequencing scenarios, with and without risk mitigation; work included development of cost-risk model, conducting risk analysis and risk mitigation analysis, development of risk-tracking tool, documentation and reporting results.

As a member of HDR|Decision Economics consultants team, Dr. Amiri conducted a one-week long training course for Caltran’s project management team on Risk Analysis and Decision Analysis, focusing on @RISK, PrecisionTree, and RiskOptimizer softwares.
